Community backing
Official backing for initiatives that grow the sport.
This is why CableWake exists. When a park, club or rider group asks a city, region or foundation for support, we stand behind it with the weight of a global member base.
Why members matter
A letter is only as strong as the community behind it.
A single park asking for funding is one request. The same park backed by riders, parks and partners across many countries is a movement. Every free member makes every future letter stronger, which is why growing the base comes first.
A letter issued today would state
20
verified members
- Riders
- 15
- Parks / Clubs
- 2
- Partners
- 3
We are in the founding phase. Requests are welcome now, and the letters grow in weight as the membership grows.
When we give backing
When it makes sense for the growth of the sport.
Backing is not automatic. Every request is reviewed openly against four principles.
It grows the sport
More riders, better access, youth and beginner programmes, safer facilities, new parks or events that open the sport to more people.
It has local roots
Led or supported by a member park, club or rider group that is active in the place the initiative will serve.
It is open to the community
Benefits riders beyond a single company or team, and is open regardless of brand, federation or rule system.
It respects our neutrality
Does not ask CableWake to take sides between federations, competitions or commercial rivals, or to set rules for the sport.
How it works
From request to signed letter.
Please send your request well before your application deadline so there is time to review it properly.
- Step 1
Send a request
Describe the initiative, the funder or authority, and your deadline using the request template.
- Step 2
Review
We check the initiative against the criteria and confirm who is behind it. We may ask a few questions.
- Step 3
Letter issued
A signed letter on CableWake letterhead, stating verified member numbers on the date of issue.
- Step 4
Share the outcome
Tell us how it went. With your consent, successful initiatives are shared so others can learn from them.
Every letter includes
- Verified member numbers in all three tiers on the date of issue
- Where members ride and organise, by country and region
- A statement of support for the named initiative
- Confirmation that CableWake is a non-governing, neutral community
- Our current legal status and contact for verification
A letter is not
- A guarantee of funding or of any outcome
- A financial or legal commitment by CableWake or Champ House
- Approval of rules, safety standards or competition formats
- Exclusive endorsement of one organisation over another
Until an Executive Committee is elected, letters are issued by the founding team on behalf of the community, with Champ House Pte. Ltd. as the hosting organisation. See the Terms and Constitution.
Have an initiative that needs backing?
Send the details to community@cablewake.org. If you are not ready to apply yet, share the initiative first so members can rally behind it.
