What personal data the CableWake community handles, why, and how you stay in control of it.

Version 1.0Updated 30 October 2026No ads · No data selling

1Who is responsible

CableWake.org is not yet a registered entity. During the founding phase, Champ House Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) is responsible for personal data handled through this website and the membership program.

When CableWake is established as an independent NGO, it will become responsible for your data. We will tell members before any transfer and you can ask to be removed instead.

2What we collect

Rider sign-up
Name, email, country and the details you enter on the Wake House registration page, which is shared with us to count and contact members.
Emails you send
Contact messages, park / club / partner applications, initiatives and backing-letter requests arrive by email with whatever you include.
Organisation listings
Name, location, logo and website of parks, clubs and partners who agree to be listed.
Technical data
Our hosting provider may log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising cookies, sell personal data, or build profiles for marketing.

3How we use it

  • To register and verify members and issue badges.
  • To count members by tier and region, published only as totals, for backing letters and grant requests.
  • To run votes, surveys and workshops, and reply to your messages.
  • To list parks, clubs and partners who have agreed to it.
  • To prepare the move to an independent NGO.

We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in running the community you joined. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4Who we share it with

  • Wake House, which runs rider registration.
  • Email and hosting providers that run this website.
  • Cities, regions and funders receive aggregated numbers only, never individual names or contact details unless you ask us to include yours.
  • The future independent CableWake NGO, as described in section 1.

5How long we keep it

Membership data is kept while your membership is active and for up to 12 months after it lapses, so renewal and published totals stay accurate. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask for earlier deletion.

6Young riders

Riders under 16 may join only with permission from a parent or guardian. We never publish minors' names, photos or contact details without that permission.

7Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Singapore's PDPA or the EU GDPR), you can ask to:

  • See the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update it.
  • Delete it and end your membership.
  • Withdraw consent or object to a use.
  • Get a copy to take elsewhere.

Write to community@cablewake.org and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8International transfers & security

CableWake is global, so data may be processed outside your country. We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.

9Changes & contact

We will update this policy when CableWake becomes an independent NGO or when our practices change, and show the new date at the top.
